Your Networking Intro Kit
How to talk about what you do so people remember, refer, and reach out
(Hint: You can't see the label when you're inside the jar)
You've spent years becoming the expert, yet it's surprisingly tricky to describe what you do.
It comes out too technical, or too vague, or too... jumbled.
And no matter how often you tweak it, it never sounds quite right.
Even worse, people nod politely, but you can sense that they don’t really get it.
But - once you step outside the jar and look at your work from your client’s point of view, everything starts to click.
That’s exactly what this three-step framework helps you do:
No more awkward pauses or saying the wrong thing
You already know that to grow your business you're going to have to talk to new people.
But too often, those first conversations are full of awkward pauses or get stuck in endless small talk that never goes anywhere.
This part of the program shows you how to move past the weather and weekend chatter into business conversations that lead to clear next steps
You’ll discover smart, simple ways to open conversations, join existing ones, and either turn polite exchanges into genuine connections or know that it's time to move on.
You'll customize our ready-to-use phrases to create natural icebreakers so you’ll feel confident starting conversations that matter.
Then, once you connect easily with new people, you’re ready to strengthen trust with the ones you already know.
Build credibility fast without the salesy pitch.
You don’t need a hard sell. You need a strong impression.
We’ll show you how to speak about your work in a way that earns trust and invites curiosity.
Instead of reciting a script, you’ll craft a clear, real-world response that helps people “get” what you do—without glazed eyes or rushed words.
This is where your message gets tight, compelling, and easy to remember. The kind of intro that makes people say, “You know who you should talk to…”
Show the full value of what you offer
If you’ve got multiple services—or wear more than one hat—it can be hard to talk about what you do without confusing people.
We’ll help you simplify your message without shrinking your impact. You’ll learn when to adapt, how to shift based on your audience, and how to clearly guide people to the right offer for them.
By the end of the program, you’ll be able to confidently present your full value—without the overwhelm.
Tuesdays in January
11:00am - 12:00pm Eastern
In the month of January I'm leading this group coaching program to make sure you are fully prepared to get the best results from your networking.
Better networking usually doesn't involve joining new groups, or attending more events, or following up with people you haven't talked to in years.
Instead it's all about how you talk about what you do.
I'll lay the foundation for the purpose of the Elevator Pitch in all its forms.
With that purpose in mind, we'll craft the key elements of your own personalized Intro Kit.
I'll do some group coaching on how you answer "What do you do"
You'll join small discussion groups to discuss the "out-of-the-blue" questions that usually trip people up.
We'll hone our calls to action so we'll get better referrals.
And you get to ask me all your questions as you use these techniques as you network throughout January.
We meet Tuesdays at 11:00am Eastern for one hour.
The content will be recorded, but the real value is in being there to interact with other people and apply the new skills to give and get meaningful referrals.

NO! I've never believed that you will get better at your Elevator Pitch by listening to me talk. This program is very interactive. I take you step-by-step through my proven process where you get to try different approaches and get immediate and expert feedback on how to be authentic and engaging. This is a working session and by the end of October you'll have six clear and consistent pitches so you're fully prepared for the most common networking situations.
The first three are "How's it going?" "What do you do?" and "Who do you work with?" Mastering these will jump start your networking efforts. When you add in the other three there's no stopping you!
This program takes place entirely on Zoom.
